Dolphin Avenue Rye is an extensive renovation of a 1970's brick veneer holiday house - to a 1970's brick veneer holiday house!
We started with a virtually original, very tired looking 1970's holiday home in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula. The job was to totally renovate the interior throughout to an authentic 1970's theme but with some modifications to suit 2020's interior design expectations. These included, bespoke rompus room and bunk beds for the youngsters, new kitchen and appliances set in 1970's style decor, new bathroom and ensuite again set in 1970's decor. Wall length sliding doors to connect indoor living with outdoor living area.

Outside the entire garden has been landscaped with native garden and volcanic rockery tying in with the original 1970's garden.

The renovation also includes spotted Gum decking which runs the entire length of the east elevation of the house creating a pergola covered al fresco dining area at the same level as the living area in the house. Adjacent to this is the swimming pool, also a part of the renovation, and at the rear of the house a fire pit and garden rockery.

Care and attention to detail from all parties involved has resulted in a unique 1970's/2022 style renovation of exceptional quality.
